Snowshoehiking in Tirol

in the snowy valleys of Wipptal

To be walking through alpine forests and towards the snowy alpine peaks is something very special and also somewhat more demanding then it would be in summer. The snowshoes carry you over otherwise kneedeep snowfield with calm pace through a mostly untouched and silent surrounding. We walk around 6 hours per day, at an altitude between 1,300 m and 2,500 m, and the daily vertical climbs will be around 800 m.

As the weather conditions in winter are of great importance, the order and content of the described program can be altered according to the forecasts, also due to organizational reasons but also due to the physical conditions and demands of the group. 

We will stay in the town of Trins, in the charming Hotel Hohe Burg Alpengasthof, which will offer great breakfast and delicious dinners. There is also a Sauna for after hike relaxing and warming up.
