Arrival

If you arrive by plane, we recommend that you land in Innsbruck, as there is only a 35-minute transfer time to the hotel in the mountaineering village of Trins. Mostly the flights to Munich are cheaper, but then you can expect a transfer of about 2.5 hours. Our accommodation for the snowshoe hiking week will be the Hotel Hohe Burg, Paftner farm of the mountaineering village Gschnitztal.
Depending on the arrival time, after the check in we can go for a walk around the hotel and visit the little village of Trins.

We will also carry out the first material testing and safety inspection together.

In winter, temperatures of less than -10 degrees can be easily reached, especially at high altitudes. It is important to always wear layers of clothing. When we are moving it will be warm, but at the same time we have to adapt quickly to very low temperatures.

The content of the program is determined based on the weather forecast and avalanche risk forecast for the week.
