AT THE FOOT OF THE HABICHT, KALKWAND

This day will let you get very close to the highest mountain in the are. After a bus ride of approximately 10 minutes the hike will start with a uphill of approximately 4 hours to Innsbrucker Hütte, a fairly steep but very pleasant and diverse path. From Innsbrucker Hütte, located at the foot of the Habicht you can reach the peak of Kalkwand, with a stunning view over the many peaks of the central alpine crest. The return is known and to take a look at the local magnificent church in Gschnitz before the bus arrives is recommended.
